Tempered glass is a type of safety glass produced on heat treatment technology, to create 3 to 4 times higher strength and safety than ordinary float glass of the same type and thickness. Tempered glass has such superior properties due to the stress on the pressed glass surface, making the microscopic bonding circuits combined to form a stronger bond, making the glass more resistant to vibration, wind and impact.

Tempered glass when broken will create small fragments like corn kernels, even and with few sharp edges, which minimizes the possibility of damage to humans. In addition, the use of tempered glass in buildings in the event of a fire can also better support the escape due to the high heat resistance of tempered glass and no deformation in temperatures up to 295°C.

PRODUCTION PROCESS

Glass cutting After receiving the order, to ensure that the size of each glass size is optimal, the large glass plate will be cut by the automatic cutting line into smaller sizes according to the order. All glass plates that are cut automatically will be lowered into specialized vehicles for transportation to the next processing stages.
Grinding of glass After undergoing the glass cutting process, the edges of the glass plate are very sharp and easy to damage people. Grinding the glass edge is an extremely important process to eliminate this hazard for the user. Depending on the requirements of the order, the glass panels will be sharpened in many different ways such as: hand grinding, fluorescence grinding, speculum grinding, grinding bevel, cylindrical grinder,……
Drilling, gouging and washing the glass If there is a drilling requirement in the order, the glass will be transferred to the assembly line. This line will check the size of the glasses to match the order. Then, drill according to the drawings and transfer the glass through the washing machine line using RO water.
Tempering the glass

After being finished, the glass plate will be transferred to the tempered stage. First of all, the glass plate is printed with the words “Tempered Glass” & the Manufacturer’s logo with heat-resistant paint, and check the specifications. Next, the glass plates of the same thickness will be heated in the furnace of the same batch, because for each different thickness, the temperature and time are also different. The glazing will then be rapidly cooled by cold air blowing on the glazing surface evenly and accurately to increase the glazing surface stress. Qualified finished glass plates must ensure that the surface stress is not less than 69 Mpa. All glass batches must select a sample of glass to test, thereby checking the basic parameters of impact strength and the number of fragments.
